Busquinox 2007

This was a great event, organized by Adam Narraway and Heather Coulis. It was at the Aspen Cove group camping area of Valens Conservation Area: http://www.conservationhamilton.ca/parks/visit/valens.asp.
We arrived late Friday and enjoyed teriyaki beef strips, sesame oil infused rice noodles, ebi and salmon sushi, and california rolls. We then warmed up around a large fire where our voices, the flames, and the group blood-alcohol levels climbed to the heavens.
Many spent Saturday relaxing by their buses. Vanessa and I went for a pleasant bike ride with the dog on the boardwalk trail. We dined on ham and swiss whole-wheat wraps for lunch and butter chicken and Naan bread for dinner.
The campfire Saturday was a little smaller and in my case was punctuated by frequent trips to the loo. I guess Montezuma's got his revenge.
Sunday we packed up and headed home. All in all it was a pleasant, sunny, relaxing, good natured end to the summer camping season.
Still on deck for this year are our Cape Cod / Vermont trip next week, and the BugPack Fall Tour...
