SOLD! - 1974 VW THING - METAL PATCHES

These are the rocker panel patches - the passenger side was done by me yesterday with metal custom bent by the previous owner. As much original steel was left as possible. All inner rocker and door striker column supports were meticulously rebuilt as well. The drivers side was completely patched by the previous owner. It is currently tacked but will be welded solid in the next day or two. Note that there is no bondo in this area whatsoever. These panels have been patched with the utmost in care. Everything is welded solid and ground so the patch is indistinguishable from the original metal.

All that is required to finish this area is final detail grinding, sanding, a skim coat of filler, and paint!!
